How do you turn your experience into a service with Claude Code?
Start with work you have already done. The /coach workflow helps you identify a buyer, choose a problem you can solve, and define an offer with suggested pricing. It then builds your outreach and delivery plan and a website. This 10-minute demonstration follows that process using a fictional professional.
Adam demonstrates the /coach workflow in Claude Code using Daniel Mercer, a fictional professional. See how work experience becomes a service offer, a client outreach and delivery plan, and a website. Watch on YouTube
From operations experience to a specific service.
Daniel Mercer is the fictional professional in the demo. This is an illustrative summary of his example, not a customer result or a screenshot.
The experience
Making multi-location operations run better
Twelve years in home-services operations, with experience documenting workflows and improving how dispatchers get up to speed.
The starting point is work he already understands and results described in his professional history.
The proposed offer
Process Documentation Sprint
Help home-services teams turn the work people carry in their heads into clear guides for recurring tasks and handoffs.
- A plan to test
- Scope, suggested pricing, discovery questions, and outreach.
- A website to introduce it
- The service, what the engagement includes, and how prospects can get in touch.
Your offer comes from your own experience. The next step is testing it in real buyer conversations.
The hard part was never the tool. It is deciding what to sell.
You can already do the work. What stops most people is the gap between "I could help someone with this" and a service that is specific enough for a stranger to say yes to. So the offer stays vague, the page never gets written, and the experience stays unsold.
Narrowing it is the whole job, and it is hard to do alone because you are too close to your own history to see which part of it a buyer would pay for.
This runs that narrowing as a guided session. It reads what you have actually done, argues with you about scope, and does not stop at advice. You finish the session holding the strategy and the public page, both written.
One command. One continuous session.
Open the downloaded folder in Claude Code Desktop and run /coach. The coach guides the conversation while a local progress board shows what you have worked out. There is no separate Service OS account to set up.
- 01
It gathers the evidence
You point it at whatever you have. A resume, a profile, a site, a work sample, or simply describe your experience.
- 02
It interviews you where the evidence is thin
The questions adapt to what it already knows, so it asks about the parts your documents do not cover instead of restating them back to you.
- 03
It narrows to one service
Choose one buyer, one problem, and a clear piece of work you can deliver. You approve the recommendation before it builds your package.
- 04
It builds your offer and action plan
Your scope, suggested pricing, discovery questions, outreach, and delivery plan in one place.
- 05
It writes the public site
A three-page website that explains your service to a prospective buyer. Review it before you publish.
- 06
It stays with you
Optional sourced research on who is buying, then coaching through outreach and the first real conversations.
It starts from what you already have.
Any one of these is enough. More than one gives it more to work with.
Your experience, in your own words
Start with a guided conversation about the problems you have solved, what you know, and the results you can point to. No document required.
Your LinkedIn profile
Either a PDF export of your profile or a profile that is publicly visible without a login.
Your website
Useful when you already describe your work somewhere, even if the description is out of date.
A portfolio piece or work sample
One real artifact you produced. A deck, a report, a case study, a build.
Your resume or CV
A useful starting point for the roles, responsibilities, and results you want to build on.
Know what to offer. Have something to show.
Keep your working plan private and give prospects a separate website that explains the offer. Both are built around your experience.
Private
Your offer and plan for finding clients
A private six-part plan covering your offer, ideal client, scope and suggested pricing, discovery calls, outreach, and delivery. Use it to prepare for real conversations and decide what to do next.
Public
A website for your service
A separate three-page website explaining your service, your experience, and how to get in touch. You review it and decide when to publish, with a deployment guide to help.
Optional
Source-backed opportunity research
If you want it, the session goes and looks at who is currently buying work like yours and cites what it found, so you can check the reasoning instead of taking it on faith.
Continuous
Execution coaching
The session does not end when the files exist. It stays with you through the first outreach, the first conversation, and the parts of the offer that turn out to be wrong once a real buyer sees them.
If the session proposes a price for your service, treat it as a starting hypothesis to test with real buyers. It is a reasoned guess about your market, not a projection of what you will earn, and nothing here promises an outcome.
What you need, and where your material goes.
Claude Code Desktop is required
- Install Claude Code Desktop and sign in with a plan that supports it. Your Claude subscription and usage are separate from this purchase.
- It is a local workflow, not a hosted app. Nothing about running it needs an account with us. Your receipt link is the download, and registering with that same address later puts the package in your member library so you can fetch it again.
- Node.js 18 or newer is also required for the local progress board. If it is missing, Claude Code will guide you through setup.
Where your material goes
- Your resume, profile and work samples are read on your own machine by Claude Code, and the files it writes are written to a folder on your own machine.
- Doing the work means sending what it reads to Anthropic models, exactly as any other Claude Code session does. That is the only place it goes.
- None of it is uploaded to The Viable Edge. The public site is static HTML sitting in a folder until you decide to publish it.

Before you decide
What is Claude Code Service OS?
Claude Code Service OS is a downloadable workflow from The Viable Edge that helps you turn your professional experience into a specific service offer. Run /coach in Claude Code Desktop to define your buyer, scope, suggested pricing, outreach and delivery plan, then create a separate website for the service.
Who is this workflow for?
It is for professionals who want to package problems they have already solved into a service they can offer to clients. Start with your experience, knowledge and work samples, or describe your work in a guided conversation. You do not need an AI business idea or a finished offer first.
How much does Claude Code Service OS cost?
The limited-time launch price is $27 as a one-time purchase. The standard price will be $47. You can reuse the workflow without a per-run charge from The Viable Edge. Your Claude subscription and usage are separate and are not included.
Do I need to be technical?
You need Claude Code Desktop, a Claude plan that supports it, and Node.js 18 or newer for the local progress board. Once set up, run /coach. Everything after that is a conversation. The service it builds is shaped by your professional experience, not by your ability to write code.
What if my experience is in a field nobody associates with AI?
That is the normal case and the point of the exercise. The service is built on the judgment you already have. The AI part is how the work gets delivered, not what the work is about.
Is this a course?
No. There are no lessons, no modules, and no cohort. You download a package, run one command, and finish the session holding the files.
What exactly do I download?
A ZIP containing the guided workflow. Unzip it, open the folder in Claude Code Desktop, and run /coach. It creates a private six-part interactive dossier you can open in a browser, plus a separate three-page HTML website. The download contains the workflow, not a prewritten service for you.
Can I run it more than once?
Yes. Running it again on a different angle of your experience produces a different service definition and a different public site. There is no per-run charge from The Viable Edge. Your Claude plan and usage limits still apply.
What happens to what I feed it?
It is read on your machine by Claude Code, the same way any Claude Code session reads a local file. It is not uploaded to The Viable Edge, and nothing is published anywhere until you publish it yourself.
You already have the experience. Give it a shape somebody can buy.
